EVOscan How to hook up evoscan on a 2g?

So a friend of mines brought down an evoscan so i can log my dsm. We got the OBDII hooked up fine. Just that theres this other white piece I can seem to find anywhere. What im looking for is a female part. The evoscan cable end is a male part. Heres a picture

Anyone know where it is? This is for a 97 with stock ecu

Are you asking where the plug is on the car? If that is in fact your question than if you look directly behind where your OBDII plug is, on the car, you'll find it. Even though it's directly behind it, it is kind of more "upwards". Meaning its a little more of a reach than the OBDII port on the car. I wish I had a picture of it.

I think it's different on a 98 and 99. I lookd at a one 95gst. My friends and I 97 Gsx his auto mines manual. And a auto 97 spyder 4g63t motor and can't find. Can anyone get pictures?

Are you asking where to plug it in at? It's hard to understand what your are trying to say.

Dude I tired looking for it in the same cars. Theres a braket for it but theres nothing. And guess what, I found the datalink cable port in an rs -_-. WTH! You know how you can follow the wires from the back from the datalink connector. Going from the datalink to the ecu wires. I cant even find that on any of the cars that I was looking at.

Wait a minute. Are you saying that I only connect the OBDII part and not the white male part to anything else? The male white part thats connect to the Tactrix cable

Well the little white plug can be plugged in. I believe it grounds out a certain pin. I can't really remember right now. It doesn't hurt anything to plug it in. I sometimes I plug it in, sometimes I don't.

so with the white plug out what are you setting for data logging on the evoscan? do you have it on "OBDII" or MITSUBISHI? anything else you changed on the setting?

thanks extreme. But is that when you only connect for the OBDII and leave the white plug hanging?

No this is for both, when I do plug it in and when I don't. What the white plug plugs into is for the Mitsubishi scan tool.

I guess anything from 97 and below dosnt have the white plugs if your a gst gsx

Correct me if I'm wrong, but that white plug looks like it goes to the data port on a 1g dsm?

im lost.....so only 99 and 98 have the white ports but anything else below dosnt
