I don't back down from anybody. Any moderator that thinks they get my respect because they have a different tag under their name is wrong. It takes a lot more to earn my respect.

if you really want 350 awhp out of that turbo, your gonna need to run boost around 25psi, on race fuel, and probally still need nitrous to see above that number. but a number is pretty meaningles, your car could run low 12s on your turbo with well less then 350 whp. actuall speed is alot more then just your horsepower number.
SlowboyRacing made 400Whp on there 1g gst a while back, give them a call and ask how they did it.

.
Step one Cometic head gasket, step two get some arp head bolts whle their working on the car. Step three would be to seriously plan out every possible avenue to reach you'r desiered driving goal or inteded use for the car , and p.s hears a link for you .
), fidanza flywheel, act 2600, c16, and a load of dyno time with dsmlink with someone who know what they're doing.
Good luck!dsm10sec said:25psi on an evo3? Tell me what kind of crack you're feeding yours and I'll feed it to my 20g.
yugotdonkey said:Hey shape, what mods do you have on your car? Your profile is kinda vague, I'm trying to see whether i should buy 550s or 660s for my evo3, are 550s really enough for this turbo?
95GSXracer said:(*pulled from AutomotiveForums.com E/T/L forum, quote from Kevin Jewer*) Ran some quick numbers guys, since we should all know now that fuel requirements correlate directly with airflow. These are for 560 injectors, a fairly "new" size, so I thought it would be fun to take a look.
Using pump gas (assumed Specific Gravity of .76) and target AFR of 11:1, a common pump gas AFR, 560s will support 41 lbs/min. More than small/big 16Gs put out, and just about on par with what most poeple get out of EVO 16Gs.
Same scenario on race gas (sunoco NOS Supreme 117 octane assumed, Specific Gravity of .724), and target AFR of 12:1, 43 lbs/min.
Notice that the numbers are not all that different. The reason is that while you are using less fuel at the leaner 12:1 AFR, you are also getting less mass of fuel per unit volume since the Specific Gravity (Density expressed as a ratio to water) is lower Keeping fuel constant, you can see how much leaning out helps with getting more out of your injector (and pump). At 12.5:1 you're good to 45 lbs/min, 20G territory. And so on...
3150lbs without me in it. 3315 with me in it.ShapeGSX said:550s are definitely not enough. I used to have 550s with my small 16G. I maxed them out with the Evo.
I have HKS 264I/272E cams, an 18" Griffen FMIC, custom 2.5" IC pipes, 3" exhaust, DSMLink, 660s, 1G head/intake manifold (though I don't feel it makes much of a difference over the 2G stuff), 6-bolt block with 2G pistons, K&N FIPK, Walbro 255, Aeromotive FPR, 4 spider gear center diff, intercooler sprayer, 1G BOV with Gus mod, etc...
98spydert said:Did you use a 1G head and if not did you port match the 1G manifold to your 2G head?

haha I'm a dumb assShapeGSX said:Yes, I used a 1G head. That is why it says "1G head."
I thought it said "1G throttle body/intake manifold" *sigh*
