How to get data onto PC

I bought a datalogger, and ive been doing some logging (i dont know much about what most of these things are, or how to read them) But i was wondering how do i get this information onto the computer so i can look at it/and or send it to other people? Like what program do i need on my PC. Im using a application on my Palm Pilot called MMcd, if that makes any difference, is there a site that shows what all the things its reading in MMcd are? I have the hotsync cable, and can get things from my pc to palm, and vise versa, but i want to know when i hotsync how to get the data from MMcd onto the computer...

The program is called PLViewer, it's on the pocketlogger website somewhere.

I tryed dl'ing and using the PLViewer, but i couldnt figure that out for the end of the world, neither could one of my friends, i cant figure out what java, to get etc. etc. or how to install it, it seemed confusing to me (and im someone good with computers)
