After I set the pin assignment how do I change the logged part of it for my IAT. Also, if for my WB I am using the EGR temnp input do I need to lock the EGR. And do I need to lock the IAT and Baro if I am using the SD cable from ECMlink and using the stock MAF wires?

Cause if I did I wouldh have to NB sim wouldnt I? and I still have my Stock o2 sensor. and why a buffer? and waht is it exactly? And after I assign it I have to load it to my computer then rename or w/e. Cause as of now on my computer sitting inside I am trying to get it so all I have to do is load this stuff in the morning and go.

Oh no! I know that stuff too, but I am just saying I want to set up all the stuff first and be able to put it on my comp then run the SD tools and that should get me cose enough to run and drive to fine tune it.

ECU input buffer: ECMTuning, Inc.

The PDF file on this thread explains exactly how to assign and log inputs better then I can. It goes step by step and has pictures. http://www.dsmtuners.com/forums/articles-tuning-ecu/395564-how-tune-1g-v3-sd-ecmlink-no-maf.html

Alright, seen that PDF ill give it another look over, the only thing about that buffer is, is that I only need to input a 0-5vlt for WB logging, I dont need too use the 5 vlt to sensor, I just need to input the 0-5vlt from the WB controller to the ecu so I can log it.

Cause I dont have the cable plugged in yet. they are connected to the cable and run and where they need to be. THen once I get the MAF dialed in I will Input the sensors and then run the tool on a the log and copy it to the computer.

To do the SDVE Adjust (SDratio) you need to be logging the MAF, MAP, and IAT at the same time. Here is a quote from ECMtuning:

Running on a stock Mitsubishi MAF sensor is a great idea for dialing in SD because it tends to produce a very accurate signal. However, the problem is that a stock sensor uses the intake air temp input to the ECU for its own purpose. You can not simply disconnect this and connect your own GM IAT sensor. Your airflow readings WILL be off.

In order to use a stock MAF sensor in conjunction with the SD VE Adjust (SDRatio) tool, you must basically disable speed density's use of the air temperature sensor for airflow calculation. You do that by setting the entire SDTempWeighting table (found on the Direct Access tab) to zero across the board.

If you do not do this, the ECU will try to treat the factory MAF sensor's air temperature reading as a GM IAT sensor located in the upper IC (or intake manifold). The results will be an inaccurate calculation of the SDRatio value and inaccurate adjustments to your SD VE table.

The downside, of course, is that if you disable the air temp sensor for speed density operation inside the ECU, then you need to make sure your air temperature reading while doing your calibration drive is fairly reasonable (say between 50-90F). A good working intercooler and some careful attention to your right foot will help immensely with this too.

Also, since the ECU's Baro input is in use by the Mitsubishi MAF sensor and unavailable for aftermarket-sensor connection, you'll have to use some other ECU input for the MAP sensor (at least until you switch full-time to speed-density and can then move the MAP sensor to the Baro input, if you so choose)
.

Gues I'll just go from scratch! Lol but to answer my original question please. I need too know how to log and input them sensors. And What for the WB.

I went from scratch. I dumped the 1g MAF and went straight to SD using the guide I posted above and just doing the SDVE Adjust (CombinedFT) a bunch of times.

This is the ECU input screen:

But it depends on how you have everything hooked up as to where you assign things.

For me, on Pin Assignments (PC-side), I have the Omni Power 4-bar on EGR Temp, labeled as MAP. I have my AEM WBo2 on Front O2 labeled as A/F Ratio. And I have the GM IAT on Intake Temp labeled as IAT.

On Pin Assignments (ECU-side) I have MAP as EGR Temp, Type as Omni Power 4-bar, Wideband as Front 02, and I have the EGR and IAT/Baro ECU inputs locked.

Then when you go to Captured Values your new sensors will be shown as what you put in the Display as column (So since I named my wbo2, A/F Ratio, it is shown as that). Double click it to capture it and then do then same thing in Displayed Values for it to show up in your log.

Hope this answers your question. :thumb:

I got it after I coul assign them I was able too do it. Only question is I got a choppy idle and goes up in down. I have Map input on baro and iat on the iat. Whatcan I put my WB on, that I don't have to mess with other shit. Should I get a log at idle hen run the tool? Or should inpost and let others pick at it?

Idle you just adjust AirFlowPerRev and Injector Global Deadtimes. For the SDVE Adjust (CombinedFTs) you need to get a good long 15-30 minute closed-loop cruise with varying RPMs and engine loads.

I'm not really sure about other places to put the WB besides the front o2. Any reason you don't want to run narrowband simulation?

I mean I guess I could run NB sim, i just got my WB placed Downstream and the one in the stock location. Should I switch teh WB to to the stock location and put a plug in the Downstream?

Hmm, well i jsut talked with a local tuner and he suggested using the FPR curcuit. using pin 57 for the Fuel Pressure control valve. he says he uses this one alot and hasnt had problems. The other thing, If I have a WB but it dont show up in the selections for the ecu log side, what do i do?
