pocketlogger to PC possible?

does anyone know how to move the ENTIRE pocketlogger program from a palm to the palm desktop on my PC. my batteries died and i lost the program on my palm, but a friend of mine has it and we can't figure out how to move it to the palm desktop on my PC.

Im a little confused here haha
what exactly do you want to do? why don't you just reload the program onto the palm since your friend has it?

Have you hotsynched the palm with the pc before it died lately? thats the point of doing that, cause when u replace the batteries you hotsynch it again and it updates the palm to the way you had it before. (all progs, etc.)

the problem is that he no longer has it on his palm desktop (PC), only on the palm itself. i also don't have it on my computer anymore. so we need the program to go from his palm to his computer and then hotsync MY palm with HIS computer to get the program on MY palm. did that make any sense? when we hotsync, it only moves programs from the palm desktop (PC) to the palm itself and not from the palm to the computer.

well when you hotsynch it actually does move the entire contents of the palm pilot onto the computer to a backup file. Then you can keep your programs when u lose battery or if u need to reset it. Try to remember to do that next time hahah. I do it when i start to get low batteries

im sure there is an app somewhere to retrieve just the palm program, but i havent searched, but it seems to dumb to not exist. try a search engine?

Ok, i think i know what to do. Give it a try! Have your friend hotsynch his palm to the pc FIRST. You have a username on your palm pilot, and so does your friend. If I remember correctly, after a battery change/reset, put new batteries in and hotsynch it on your friends pc and it will ask you what user you are hotsynching, just pick hisname. You will basically have all his palm pilot data, including program. Just delete whatever u want and keep the prog.

p.s. - i only ever did that with the same model palms, so i dont know if it would work on different models

You'll need your original information, however, from when you registered, so make certain you have your cable serial# with you.

Yep, just like girlie said. I would just get the program again from pocketlogger, download it to your palm, then enter in your registration code.

the only problem is that i bought it used. so i have the cable from digital tuning, but not all the original info or any way to get the original info...i'll try what joeym4130 said and see if it works. thanks for all the help and feel free to add any other ideas!!
