How should I clean AEM filter? Should I buy the cleaner kit or I can do it other way? Thanks for help

The cleaning kits are cheap ($10) and effective. Just get one. The "kit" includes the cleaner to be used with water and oil, and it will last a dozen cleanings or more.

As long as it's not one of the new style dry AEM filters, then the standard K&N cleaning kit will be just fine.

PS - K&N's part number in the kit is 99-5000.
