It is not common on n/t's, but it is possible. Any motor can crankwalk. There are two tests that i know of that are accurate and good. These only work on manuals, its also not common at all for automatics.

1. Put a prybar on the crank pulley and try and move it back and forth to see if you have excessive play.

2. If it is a 5 spd drive it down a curvy road and when you take a hard left the clutch pedal should drop, if not stick to the floor.

But with 93k you shouldnt have much to worry bout. Though my 7bolt did crankwalk at 120k

thanks kid, Yea its an automatic so hopefully like u said, less of a chance, the woman is askin 6300 obo, thats why im scared, im meeting wit her thursday so ill see ### happens, i have had my share of bad luck wit my 98 gs, most of it the tranny and it was also giving me 10 miles to the gallon!!, sellin it this week so i dont wanna sell a problem to get a bigger one.

Also, does anyone know, if the GS and GST share the same automatic transmission, my gues would b no since i believe the tranny wit the GS is by Chrysler but wit this whold dsm thing, im not 100% sure, i say this becuz my tranny is completly messed up and i wanted to know if its the same tranny n i might have some of the same problems

Well the TSi tranny auto is also Chrysler, like the N/T model. So unfortunately I think they're all Chrysler. Which isn't bad for the N/T but on the TSi it cant take the heat from all the torque.

TSi and TSi AWD = GST and GSX. Mitsu Engine and Mitsu Tranny, pretty much mitsu car.
ESi = RS and GS. Chrysler engine, and chrysler tranny, a crysler in a mitsu body.
