How to adapt 1g for inline fuel filter...

(I did the searches)

What would it take to adapt the hard line coming into the fuel filter to some type of hose and/or fitting that would allow the use of an inline fuel filter and then what would it take to adapt the output of the fuel filter to the line going away...?

I know there is an entire upgrade from the pump to the fuel rail, but for now I just wanted to make fuel filter changes nicer...

Thanks everyone!

Yeah, I had looked there, but I didn't read the 3rd kit in enough detail. I thought it was an entire fuel line upgrade from the pump to the fuel rail.

It just so happens that yes, it is exactly what I was asking about: an adapter from the hard line all the way to the fuel rail (with some added goodies too).

1. I know the price isn't really a fortune, but it can't be done any cheaper, right?

2. What if you bought the same parts yourself, rather than through them and their kit?

If not, I'll just save up for it.

3. Is it worth it?

4. If I am hitting fuel cut and need to start getting more fuel is this a good start? (Already did the rewire).

5. If not, what is?

Thanks for your time guys.

I put together a parts and price list of individual pieces when I was planning on doing this. Ended up that the AutoAlchemy kit was the about the same price as the individual pieces I had assembled, plus the SS line is already cut and hose ends put on. I went with the AutoAlchemy kit and it works fine. You may consider getting a -6AN O ring for the hard line adapter piece (9894DBH I think is the Earl's part number of the adapter) because I had leakage problems without it. I haven't put that piece back in yet, though, but I have since gotten the O-ring.

This will do nothing to help your fuel cut situation. Fuel cut occurs when the ECU sees too much air coming into the engine through the MAS. It has nothing to do with the fuel supply. To help fuel cut, you need a S-AFC.
