I just want an idea of what some of you guys would be willing to pay for a set of used Skunk 2 coilovers. These would be for a 2G car.

Thanks

So because they are new they don't know anything? That's a stupid assumption. I've been a member since '05 so I guess that means something? Basically you are saying if you haven't been a member here for ages then it's likely you have no idea what you are talking about? I'd be willing to bet one on them has actually owned a set of Skunk2 coil overs, and actually knows what they are talking about. So, unless you have owned a set and have some personal experience to share, you are just talking out of your ass about all this anyways.

My real question however is why you are still following this thread. You already gave your opinion and much more? Honestly I could care less what you think outside of the question at hand, which you already gave me an answer to. It's you who doesn't get it. You already shared your opinion and voted in the poll. Move on.

Umad? Cause you sound mad.

Not only have I put Skunk2s in my friend's Spyder, but my company has a brand new set in stock right now. So, not only do I know more than you, and them, on the subject, but I have extensive experience with them as well. All the pre-requisites that you listed to determine if my opinion is valid. So there you go.

Actually, I think it's kind of sad that you have been a member since 2005 and are still clueless to these parts and how things work around here. But, yeah pretty much, I am saying the eBay generation of owners on these cars such as our new members end up being time and time again don't have a clue, probably came from the Honda world and are relying on the words "Skunk2" and "Blox" rather than experience with them on a DSM. Heck, you didn't even know who Blox was or that they were basically the sister company of Skunk2. How much can your opinion really matter?

Lol Mad? Hardly. Just confused by your conflicting posts. Why would you put Skunk2's on your friends car if they suck so bad? And if you own your own company then surely you have a website? I'd be interested to check it out. So what's the address?

Well I guess you know it all then? Thank god for members like you how can let all us other members who know how things really are. Like I said before, I could care less about your opinions, and really care less about your credentials. Being part of a forum isn't much of a qualification to me, or anyone else in the real world. Tell me you have some real credentials like ASE certs, automotive job experience, ect. and then maybe I would consider listening to what you have to say.

If you read this thread then you would know I don't have an opinion. I have never owned a Honda and wouldn't know the first thing about Skunk2 or Blox for that matter. Hence the reason I started this thread. You, and all the others posting your 2 cents turn these threads into opinion contests, which provide no useful information. If you have helpful info then post it. If you just want to make your opinion known, then quit wasting everyone's time.

If my friend wants to be dumb and buy Skunk2s it is his money, if he wants me to put them in for him for a few beers and a good time, than I will, hence the word friends.

As for the rest, I don't need to prove myself to you, but one member here already made the mistake of trying to call me out on the same grounds. He quickly was proven wrong, look around if it matters that much to you.

If you think an ASE certification means anything, you really are dumber than I gave you credit for.

I really think this is going way beyond our members head. So chill out, all these insult towards each others post of being " stupid, dumbass, retarded.. etc" is unneccessary. Please poll, post and move on, NO point in arguing over the internet, you guys will surely never come to an agreement. We are DSMr! respect that and eachother.

What's really sad is you let a "friend" do something you have been going on and on about not to do. I feel bad for him having friends like you. Judging by your lack of response for anything resembling a credential, I'll just assume you have none. Searching for them on my own, on here of all places, would be an even bigger waste than typing responses to you. And if ASE's are such a joke, you should have all 8 right? Unlike you, the rest of the world and the automotive industry for that matter, recognizes them as a sign of having automotive expertise. I think I'll go with the general consensus on that matter. It sounds like you have plenty of threads and posts I could look around for where you were give others your 2 cents and then try to one up them for hours. I'm anxious to see what you have to say next.

Go ahead and read this, and everyone else might as well read it and see how quickly your general consensus idea stands out in the automotive community.

Oh and for the record, I graduated top of my class in Automotive Service, and do have a few ASE certifications under my belt. I still think ASE is nothing more than 3 letters to make a dumb car owner think the work done on their car is better than work done by someone without it.

Again I don't care. If this was a pissing contest then I tell you I attended Universal Technical Institute and completed the automotive, diesel and industrial repair programs. Afterwards I completed the Ford factory acredited credential program. Over 2 years worth of training. I have all 8 ASE's, have worked in numerous shops and have my EPA 609 certification to legally repair HVAC systems. Additionally unlike you, I'd be happy to provide all my credentials to be verfied, as I'm not just some guy who just works on his boys' cars and talks on forum's like I'm all knowing. Of course if you aren't the latter, then I'm sure you could at least provide your own company's web address.

All of what I just said proves nothing however. I totally agree with you that all the training and ASE certs in the world can't make you a competent tech or individual. I'm simply trying to say that you have already provided all the useful information to this thread possible. So unless you have some more USEFUL info, your opinions have no place here.

You have yet to tell me why a company needs a website? My business license proves I have a company, if the IRS came to me and asked me for a copy of my business license, they would not take a website address in lieu.

In fact, I don't see any useful information from you, and I will continue to pollute this thread for the enjoyment of it.

Hold on, I will go throw up a webpage for you.

You are right. A company doesn't have to have a website. GOOD companys have them. Websites provide a company's potential customers information about said company's products, history and anything else that buyer would want to know. I'm not knocking you for not having a website. I'm just trying to figure out how a guy who own's a company stays in business and makes a living without marketing themselves on the web in this day and age.

Me provide useful information? Hello? I started the thread in search of information because I don't have any? WTF are you talking about? What information would I be providing? You are just making yourself look rediculous so keep posting. By all means pollute away LOL

Did you even read this thread? Dude the only thing I feel retarded about is reading your posts and all the others like it. I never tried to reason anything and I'm not looking for anyone to agree with me. You already gave your input so why are you still posting? If I ask you why you wouldn't buy a set, then say why, or don't say why and move on? According to the poll results not everyone agrees with you and thinks they are junk. I get it that the majority do think they are junk and wouldn't even take a set for free. I appreciate your input but all the other posts containing your insults and opinions are useless to me, so save it.

So because they are new they don't know anything? That's a stupid assumption. I've been a member since '05 so I guess that means something? I've been saying that. Couldn't agree more.

Look, this is going in a totally unrelated direction. Again, I don't care to hear anything you have to say as you have already said everything that has validity pertaining to this topic. Move on.

Product? We don't make products. We sell products if people need them, but Craigslist serves our internet requirements for what we do.

Ha!!!! Craigslist? ROFL you want to tell me your internet marketing is based on some hardly legitimate classified add on craigslist, and then knock something that is proven legitimate by the whole auto industry like ASE? Dude you are something else. Keep going please....keep polluting....I'm pissing my pants laughing at this.

This is pretty usual...

person: facts+info(not opinion)
spawn: opinion, "your dumb" comment, followed by 2 page rant
person: facts+info(not opinion)

rinse and repeat

As usual you got it all wrong, yet again.

SpawnedX: Facts + Experience = This
Person: But I want it to equal this.
Other People: But it won't.
SpawnedX: Wonders why person keeps pushing the topic when the clear majority disagrees with them.
Person: Thinks they have made some valid point, continues to spew dribble, dellusionally believes that everyone agrees with their opinion on SpawnedX.
91stocker: Because I keep getting made to look like a fool when I attack SpawnedX, I will hope that if I do it when someone else is failing at it miserably that it will work this time.
SpawnedX: Is unphased, thinks 91stocker is still an idiot.
Person: I want facts and experience only if it gives me the justification I need to do XYZ, regardless of the fact that it will never. Refuses to admit that they are just going to do XYZ anyway and continue to argue on the internet. Claims arguing on the internet is stupid, by arguing on the internet. This support from 91stocker is strengthening their case, should probably distance themselves from him immediately.
91stock: Drool, dribble, drool, asshattery, hate, hater, drool, dribble.
SpawnedX + Others: LOL
Person: Eventually realizes this and adds SpawnedX as friend. (This step hasn't happened yet.)
