Used 2.0 16v How much would you Pay?

I found a 1991 2.0 16v engine out of a plymouth laser turbo. What should I look for? How much should one pay for a running engine? The Plymouth is getting parted out?

I think you have to provide a lil more information first, like mileage, what parts are on it, conditions of body and etc etc... may be even a picture.

Most of the time cars that are getting parted out there's a reason behind it if you have no clue about engines best bet don't buy it also if it was raced not worth it the engine was probably put through hell. be cautious and aware of cars being parted out it always means that there was a repair that costs way too much or you might get lucky and their done with the car .

If its a stock motor in good running condition I'd say offer a couple hundred. If he is parting it out its only to make more money then just junkin it.

I Agree all the above are good responses. I have heard these stock blocks are prone to cylinder wall damage. So with that in question I would have to ask these questions.

Cylinder wall damage, never heard of anything like that. I could see if you can drain the oil and look at it, and do a compression test on it. IF you can't than 150 bucks is all i would pay for it. IF y

While your there get some wiring connectors, i bought a few for around 100 each when i had a 1gs as project cars.
