how much play is 2 much play in clutch fork?

hey so i finaly got my tranny on. and i played with the clutch fork. is it normal for it to have some play back and forth before the slave goes on?? i wanna know before i bolt every thing back up. thnx guys/gals

The answer is yes. But it matters where it "sits." Down towards the bottom of this article there is some great clutch adjustment/fork positioning info.
