how much hp can this motor handel, im in the proses of building my 90gsx 6 bolt , im getting all the machine work done and internals will be manley h-beam rods, acl bearings, ross pistons, arp head studs and main bolts, cometic head gasket, bc 280 cams. manley valves, springs and retainers. new valve guides, locks and seals. revised lifters. finandez cam gears, balance shaft eliminator kit. new oil pump. greddy extreme timing belt, oem water pump, tensioners and all gaskets

i got intake, huge fmic with 2.5" piping, full 3" exhaust, boost gauge, ecm link, gm mafs, 255 pump, 880's, fpr, data logger and a 14b turbo for now

I have no idea. Every set up is different. And without supporting tuning, dyno pulls, etc. you'll never know either.

From what you said though it seems like your turbo and exhaust manifold may be your limiting factor.

Dyno the thing and let us know, but I hope you don't plan on streeting it too much with those 280s, otherwise you're going to be having fun getting going from stop lights

Why are you asking how much these motors can tolerate while building the internals with forged components?

280s are very streetable cams especially with a 14b. My roommate runs 280s and a sc61 turbo as a daily driver and we live in colorado (nothing but hills and red lights) And he has never had a problem.

The rods are probly 850hp rods aren't they? That's usually the weak link when everything is running right.

Too many variables....tuning, for one.

If you don't know how to properly tune those 880's, you'll flood the crankcase with unburnt fuel which ruins the oil's film strength. In that case, I give it about 500 miles before you spin a rod bearing.

No kidding. Just as the turbo runs out of juice, the cams start to make power.

a 14b is a good turbo to break in a motor with (IMO) and I'm sure he didnt buy 280s with the intention of only running a 14b turbo.

I ran a 14b with FP2x's for a while. That was actually kinda fun.

Anyway, back on topic: Your motor will be able to handle 900 horsepower. Thanks for using spell-check.
