How much boost is safe??

I have a 90 eclipse gst which is obvousily the 6 bolt and I have the factory turbo. I want to know how much boost I can run on the car while being able to have fun with it without worring about blowing something up. I wanted to do about 18 psi but if it is safe to go higher I would want to.

I would say 12-14psi at most. The 1g's have aggressive timing curves and on a stock setup it could cause detonation anything higher than 14psi. It may still feel like its running good but you would be slowly eating up the pistons and valves.

You need to get a data logger setup. Then I would get a wbo2 as my next upgrade so you can read your afr and be safe. IMO

The t25 is pretty weak and isn't very effective at anything past ~15 psi. When I was stock I ran it at 15psi on stock everything except for mbc and boost gauge.

No one knows. You have to log results and lift when you see too much knock and turn down the boost. Setting to a certain boost, then casting your car to chance is for those who don't really care about the results anyway and wouldn't ask this question .

Bingo. We CANNOT tell you something that important without knowing a hell of a lot more information than you're giving us. Get a logger/DSMLink/AEM/etc. and take a few logs of your current setup before messing about with anything.
