How many people are running 272's with a 14b?

You can just take the exhaust housing from a blown 16g and mate it to the 14b, they sell 7cm housings on Ebay but I would not recommend using one from there.

The ebay housings are pretty awesome actually.

Ahh! I see we have some conspiracy theory of sorts going on here. I'll have to grab one of those jokers for cheap (right) and see how it works. I'm interested to see how the 14b responds with an external wastegate set up on E85.

Negative Ghost Rider! All you have to do is raise your RPM slightly. For my EVO, the RPMs were set at 900 during idle. I love the sound of the "blop...blop...blop..."

I believe your tuner would be more than able to take care of that aspect of things for you. I really think you are over analyzing this issue. There have been many before you to pave the way with 272s.

I am my own tuner, I don't have someone that works on my car for me. I don't see how me being worried about my car is over analyzing, but to each his own.

Woe woe woe. HKS272s runw ith a stock idle rpm just fine. If not you have a problem somewhere. These cams are street cams.

They will be a little lopey. . . But it sounds good.

Thank you, more of the answer I was looking for. The lope doesn't bother me one bit, just the stalling would bother me since I heard sometimes cars have stalling problems with cams. I guess you have to pay to play though.

You shouldn't be stalling. . . too much. If you have a fidanza flywheel or vent with a drawthrough maf... yea. But hks 272s should not cause you to stall. It will add to other things that sum up to stalling, the aforementioned, and other things like ngk bpre8s, 1650s with no driver box, etc. . .They are street cams. Get your setup dialed in and you WILL be able to idle at 750rpms, nice "thump" at idle, and not stall between shifts. You need many other mods to bring on any issues. So the fault rests on the other mods

My 272's run perfect and I love the exhaust idle. It's ballin' if it dies from time to time it's the cost I pay for an awesome car. I will not raise the idle.

Oh man, please spare me the drama. Did you have a bad day at work? We've communicated back-and-forth before about other issues and I'd thought by now you would know that I take as good a care with my DSM and wish nothing more than for others to do so as well. My one and only point was that there are hundreds of fellow DSM'ers running 272s without an issue. I said this to lessen your worries not add to them.

Got the cams installed, I have stalling issues very occasionally but I think once I get link I should be fine. They sound beefy as hell though! Lost a little low end but gained a lot of power in mid and high.
