How long to install T28?

I just wanted to see how long it took a few of you to install a T28. Im about to get mine and was wondering how long of an install im lookin at. Also when you reply list what new bolts,lines, etc you put on.

T28 is a direct bolt in and should be able to swap fairly quickly, probably 2-3 hrs for a first timer. Things that you will need for the install 4 new crush washers for the water lines, turbo oil drain gasket(s) (turbo side and oil pan side if you completely take the return off during the swap), turbo to manifold & turbo to O2 housing gaskets, its a good idea to replace the one stud on the turbo with a bolt like the other 3, and some hight temp anti seize. Not sure if guys with this turbo keep the stock oil feed line or replace it with an aftermarket SS braided feed line.

It's always a good idea to replace the oil feed when you change out a turbo.

How fast you can replace anything all depends on how fast you can turn a wrench.

when i got mine, i was swapping my stock t25 into a friends car with the fp big28. it took use no more then 5 hours to swap them into eachothers cars and have them running again. This was also a first time for both of us, except we watched turbo swaps before, just never actually did the work, so we had an idea for what needed to be done which i'm sure helped. so i'd say you shouldn't need more then 3 hours if you have a feel for what needs to be done and have all the tools/parts you need, making runs to autozone or whatever kills time, which we had to do several times.
