I tried whay you guys are talking about and ended up cutting the stock ducting in half, but couldn't get it to work. I'll mess around with some sheetmetal soon.

alex99gst said:Guys, I need your help! Right now I have everything out of the way in order to take out the a/c compressor, but I can only see one bolt and it is on very tight. I broke my wrist and have been in a cast since february, so I only have one good hand to work with. I have a friend coming over tomorrow to help, but I need to know any tips for getting the compressor out. Do you attack it from the passenger side? How do you find the other bolts? There are 4 bolts correct? Thanks.

I went from the passenger side to pull it. To undo the bolts, just ram your hand down in there with ratchet in-hand and feel around for the bolts. (from the drivers side top) Using a shorter socket will help. If you get your buddy to do that part, you could take off the wheel, and you could guide the socket onto the bolts. That definitely helps.![]()
They are on there a bit tight, and there's not a hell of a lot of room, but they'll break free. Good luck, its not too hard to get it all out.

He also said he pulled the a/c compressor and it didnt help him solve his problem with getting a little hot. it actually stayed EXACTLY the same. weird....
Proof?PieEyedPiper said:It works because water wetter actually decreases water's natural thermal capacity. It prevent corrosion and whatnot but its entirely mythical that the product lowers coolant temps.
alex99gst said:For anyone that cares, I got the compressor out today finally and you guys were right it wasn't that bad. The worst part was pulling it out. It comes, but that takes some work. All together I've shed a total of what feels like 50lbs (a safe guess, probably more) just getting rid of stuff I don't use. Also, I got the cast off today out of nowhere. WHOOP!
Nelsons91AWD said:Yea i also did mine about a week ago, and it not bad at all , like you said pulling it out was the worst. best way to do it is zip tie all the lines out of the way and pull the fuel line off the FPR. after that mine came out easy![]()
congrats on gaining an easy 5HP+

. I was looking on ebay for a koyo as well but have yet to get off my ass like you did. Are there koyo knockoffs cause this seems to be too good of a deal - Byrd said:Didn't see any gain besides the weight either. dnhieu - you have a pm on dsm-racing btw.
Byrd said:Sorry for being a retard - but that would meen that while it's not a knockoff, it's not the koyo that'll improve to the extent that the more expensive one would?
I think i could answer my own question
HAHAHAHA.....dnhieu said:i really dont think it was the a/c condensor man. i more along the line think it was the radiator! The ONLY reason i think it was more the radiator is because why am i only seeing AT MOST 206 while at idle? before i would see 230 and if i would let it go it would go more! also this bi*** is a total knock offHAHAHAHA.....
this item is a great buy! IT WAS OVER PACKAGED and by that i mean it took my ass 20 mins to unwrap the bi***. it came in 3 days and just flat out look at the welds on the damn thing. i smell Q-U-A-L-I-T-Y....
