How Hot Does A DSM Exhaust Get?

How hot does the average turbo dsm exhaust get? Im planning on running a egt gauge and there were 2 versions of it. one that goes upto 1500 Fahrenheit and one that goes to 2500. Would getting the 1500 be good enough?

The 1500F isn't enough. On almost any car it shouldn't pass 1600-1650F but you have to see it if it goes hotter than that.

If you're talking about the EGT for the manifold (I assume you are) I would get the 2500, since 1500 is within the top area of safe EGTs. Your EGTs could get over 1500 in high boost.
