I have searched and looked in the times.org but not many times for the 20g ? i went from a 14b maxed 34lb/min @19lbs falling to 15 and running 13.40 @ 115.00 on street tires and 14-15psi to this 20g td05h and just wondering what gains to expect. Thanks !

the 20g doesnt get much love these days. Its still my favorite turbo for a street car. most have moved on to much larger turbos.

Just check the 16g times and add 30whp and you have what the 20g can do

Tort9320 went 11.03 on a tdo5/20g
MnDsmer went 11.27, not sure if its a tdo5h

The tod5h will begin to become a restriction on the 20g at high boost(23psi+)

11.9 at 119 3000lb evo1 6h/6cm 93 oct/meth (1.95 60ft)

damn, a 6h turbine in a 6cm housing. Never seen that combo before:D
Obviously this car was a lot lighter than the others listed, hence the better time.
Was the rest of the setups pretty similar?

Yeah my car weighs between 2580-2600 lbs i haven't weighed it in a while. i'm hopeing for 120+ traps.if a full weight evo3 16g car can trap 118-119. i shouldn't have any problems. does anyone know what the tdo5h in 7cm housing 20g will flow i heard 42-44 lbs/min thats what i'm hoping for...... Thanks for all the reply's !

44 lb/min

I just recently (last month) went 11.408 @ 126 with a tdo5-20g. The car weighs 3000 lbs with me in it according to the truck scales.

cool thats what i like to hear. was it on race fuel/93+meth/e85 how much boost . Thanks !

I ran a 20g a few years ago for about half a year. I thought it was a great turbo, I also see the point why alot of people do not choose them since they are so expensive compared to comparable turbos on the market. Any way my best was an 11.5@121.

so how much did you pick up going from the 14b to the 20g ! i seen 12.50's what mph ?

Back in 2000 I went 11.4 @ 120 on a td05 BR20g with O2 mounted external on street tires and C16. This was a full weight car, 92 Plymouth Laser RS AWD that weighed 3270 with me in it, with a completely stock bottom end including balance shafts, a little bit of head work but stock valves, springs and cams with a stock 1g intake manifold and throttle body and 2g exhaust manifold. I had a Mistu MLS headgasket with ARP head studs. I was running a TMO stage 3 ECU with a VPC w/ 550 chip and a SAFC for fuel tuning, 3" turbo back, BR FMIC.

hey 120 mph is good for full weight ! i am hoping for 120+ traps wanting to get a 10.99 but anywhere close will be good !

That was fast for those mods and vehicle weight. had a lot more in it. stock cams and 550s, WOW.

The 6h/6cm is the 20g best kept secret. it just rips with that hot side.

Nothing really special with the setups. the galant was 9.0/ FP2 cams 3.0 exhaust and evo 8 intercooler. running VPC and greddy e-manage.

The eclipse was stock 7.8/1 block with 272 cams 3.0 exhaust and hahn sidemount cooler. running VPC. GCC.

The evo 1 had 2.3 8.5/1 with e-bay intercooler 3.0 exhaust with two 2.5 mufflers. stock ecu with AFC/ITC
With the 6h/20g that was the most fun I have had in a street car. the torque hit was just nuts. took the 2.3 out after it broke a tranny. went back to the 2.0 to calm the torque. not as much fun but getting there.

I thought it wasn't too bad. It seemed to be the combo to go with back in the day when 20g turbos were huge and unstreetable ROFL Even though I was on street tires I had a 1.61 60ft and went 7.3 @ 93 in the 1/8th on that pass. This was all done at the Summit Import race that used to be the day after the shootout.

Yep, it did have more but I didn't have the money then to do it. You have got to love NLTS though, makes that ET drop and gives you a few mph as well.

Hopefully this link works, it's a crappy upload but my old Laser and that specific pass: Jerry 11.49 @ 120

I tried to make the vid a link but can't figure out how, it automatically makes it a vid in this post :banghead:
