How do I wire in an AEM FIC?

With the FIC not having an optical cas input, it worries me

yes it does. I've used AEM FIC on quite a few cars and tuning is easy and install is easy.

there is both cam and crank Hal or mag sensor pick-ups.

only bad part about the whole thing is it only retards timing, no advance.

OP once you have the aem fic installed, make sure to hook your laptop up to it and sync the rpm. ( hold 2k rpm, and sync witht the fic ) or it will never run right.

The optical CAS outputs a signal similar to hall effect. The 1G used both hall and optical, depending on year, and either one is compatible with any 1G ecu.

It should work, although there's no real reason to use one, considering there are a bunch of better tuning options. DSMlink, for one.

If it is an Optical sensor, then it would be wired up just like a nissan RB engine, so use Halo / Hali sensors. and use cam not crank.

use google to see if you can find a diagram
