Hello I have a 1g dsm,

My driver side window wont roll up or down but passenger works fine, i checked the voltage at the switch and at the motor, both are fine but the window doesnt move thus figured it is bad motor.

My window is currently in the up position and I was wondering if there was some manual way to get the glass down to get the the two bolts off. My arms are pretty thick so it would be a royal pain to get my arm deep enough into the right door hole to try to get a wrench on the right bolt.

Anyways thanks for any help in advance.

You could try removing the door panel and etc.. then either try giving the motor a current to see if it will work, or remove the regulator and manual turn the pulley to bring the window into the position you need. I've done this on a few different cars and it seems to work.

You should be able to pull the cover off the motor fairly easy. Then all you have to do is twist it and the window will lower.

Remove the trim panel and run some jumper wires to the motor. With power to the motor hit it with a rubber hammer. Often times the window will get jammed up to tight and the motor won't have the torque to start it. This can get it running again. If it does start, run it up and down several time and lubricate the regulator and silicone the window runs. I do auto body repair and this has worked for me many times.

I'm in the same boat as my passenger side window is stuck. I have bought a replacement motor and would like to install it. I've done all that I can to figure it out without success. So basically, I'd have to find a way of disconnecting the motor from the old one, remove it, and then replace it with the new parts, right? What about the "bracket" that comes already attached to the OEM replacement? Should that be used as well? Thanks.
