How can I tell if I have DSMlink?

I bought this car modded, the guy I bought it off of did not do the mods, he is the second owner, the guy before him did all the work to it. So I was wondering if it had DSMlink already. How would I check?

Pull the ecu and open it up.

Only way to know for sure is open the ECU and look for the chip! Not sure how long they have been doing it. But on mine they put a sticker on the outside of the case with my name, phone number and size of injectors i had them set it to and i have order mine three years ago.

Alright, so where is the ECU at in these cars, its a 90 laser

Behind the radio in the dash, there are multiple faqs on how to pull the ecu

If you pull the trim panels on each side of the floor near the radio you can easily get to it. Might take a little bit of elbow grease

It's the gold box behind the radio, you can't miss it.

if you have a E on the ecu top its an eprom, open it to be sure and take a look at the chip

Did the car come with an elecrical cable that plugs into the car and a computer? Like the second set of pictures in this link. DSMLink - Details - Cable

If not, I doubt you have it.

I am high doubt your car has DSMLink base on your profile. If he didn't upgrade the turbo, fuel system, etc... there would be no sense in or little or no need in the DSMLink.

Well if you dont have the DSMLink cable then your going to need to buy the DSMLink set-up. For it to get the cable. They dont sell the cables anymore due to people trying to copy there chips.

Not true. They still sell 1g cables because you can't really make the memory board at home.
