sorry don't mean to double post, but this should have been here in the first place, doh... QUESTION- how do you tell if there is a rear lsd on the car?

Ok just took a jack lifted it from the diff.. tried to spin the wheel nothing happened.. Parking break was up.. Put the parking break down.. tried again.. when I rotated it quickly the other tire spun.. when I rotated it slowly the other tire didnt spin.. so my 97 automatic eclipse gsx has rear diff.. now I need to find a m/t rear diff with lsd

And you dont even need to jack up your damn car to see if you have lsd. Crawl down and read the number on your pumpkin. If it says vicsous lsd...it has lsd hahaha come on guys. The first page on this thread made me wanna cry. No 2g came stock with lsd? haha both my 2gs have lsd. hmmm.....

I wish we can clean up the complete false information sometimes. If newbies read some of this crap all hell would break loose.

None of the cars came with a front LSD. All the AWD cars have a Viscous LSD on the center diff and most of this thread is about which AWD cars have the Viscous LSD in the rear diff.

I knew mine had a rear and i knew "most" of it was bout the rear but i figured i would ask here rather than start another thread.
