I'm building my first dsm and am under the budget of 500 dollars at the moment. i bought 2 90 lasers for 100 bucks, a k&n drop in filter for the 1g maf(removed silencer and hacked the aircan all the way), ported the stock Tb, clean everything including the radiator and the intercoolers and all piping. I put full synthetic fluids in tranny and motor, 2g Manifold, Gutted cat, Magnaflow free flowing muffler. mopar plug wires, emissions deleted, Egr block off, silicone hoses, valve cover breather filter. I'm running stock boost maybe will up it 1-2 psi. Any horse power opinions with whats done to it? thanks

Yeah a tad more than stock...Why dont you up the boost to 14psi..That should help..

Did you get new plugs? What did you gap them at? What size plug wires?

Haven't actually built this guy yet still have to get some ngk plugs and wanna get 10mm silicone wires as well. getting after market boost guage in a few days and getting a manual boost controller as well. and it will be safe at 14 psi? With all this setup what you say maybe 220 at the flywheel?

I would not tell you to up to boost to 14psi if I didn't know it was safe..+1 on getting an aftermarket boost gauge the stock one is crap..

Replace the timing belt and water pump on your favorite one. Don't even think about power.

With any car mainteance or the 100 dollar cars could be hundreds in damage. Timing belt a big one with all the components changed, hg, oil, compression, so many things not to overlook.

No bench racing. Take it to the dyno if you really want to know. But it probably wouldn't be worth it.
