hood scoop or fender scoop

i wondering if i was to custom make an hood scoop or fender scoop by my intake how would i keep it from getting wet or theres no way to do that let me know what you guys think

your best bet would be to put some kind of sponge behind the mesh for the scoop to absorb moisture
you can always buy black sponges at wal-mart

The same way OEM scoops keep water out. A baffle.

wow what kind of baffle cause when i google it. a bunch of exhaust silencer came up so i dont know what kinda of baffle you guys talking about

Look at a wrx and see how they baffle the tmic. Basically the air flow just needs to have a low point (like the loop seal under your sink) so that the water can drain out before it hits the filter.
