Should i gut my cat? I have a 2g awd, it has a aftermaket universal muffler when i baught it and its pretty deep but not very loud. I was thinking of taking it out and using a big press and sticking a pipe in it? will this work? How important is it to have a cat?

does anyone know how to make clear corners or any onther looks things for a 97 eclipse

its easy to make the clear corners from the stockers. take a heat gun and very carefully heat up the seam on the light housing where the glue is, when its nice and warm, not to hot or youll melt the damn thing, pull the lens off of the housing and pull out the yellow strip. glue it back together real good and you have clear corners.

thats what i did to get my clear corners, also i added in some angel eyes, but i won't lie, i got the idea from looking at shuwa29's car., nice ride man(look at his gallery, angel eyes are cheap and look absolutely sick at night)

thanks

I si it posible to remove the orange film that is on the turn signals that are inside the headlights or how can you tint the headlights just like some 2g's have theirs and how? Has any body done that? How does it look?

You can Always put STICKERSSSSSZZ!!!! LOL:laugh:

think about it if you spend 15 bucks here and 10 bucks there on little mods you can save up and get something that will actualy do something. those ebay CAI are decent and are better than stock. also look on nopi.com and look at all the CAIs they have. you can get a decent one for under 50 bucks easy.

Hey shuwa29 thats exactly what i am tlaking about buddy. Could you tell me how you did and what you used. It looks bad @ss man. Thanks

for freakytallon:

ok, i'm telling you what you asked. if you need to know how to take off the bumper, let me know and i'll find the link with instructions for that on it.

1. remove headlight. one bolt on top of headlight, one below headlight, and two behind the headlight.
2. remove all bulbs from headlights.
3. remove metal tabs on headlights.
4. place in over for 5 minutes at 350 degrees.
5. using a flathead screw driver, pry open the headlights removing the clear cover.
6. unscrew the housing from the headlight assembly.
(you should now have 3 pieces:
1. clear cover
2. housing
3. headlight assembly)
7. now unscrew the orange reflector and reassemble the headlight.
8. reverse the steps listed and reinstall the headlights.

that should be what you need. if you need more, let me know.

for jonb7777:

what exactly do you want to see? the bumper lenses? if so, let me know.

hey shuwa29,painting should be as easy as that right? Just cover the headlight lenses(the round thing that reflects the light),sand paper the surface a little & paint right? Thanks a lot man, this was very helpful!!!

actually the houseing that you paint unscrews from the headlight, so you can take your time with it. but yeah, you can sand it down and everything. i didn't on mine and they came out fine. but i also used a high temp engine enamel. hope that helps.

ummmmmm wouldnt 350 degrees melt your headlights? i really wanna do what you are talking about to clean my headlights!

trust me it will not melt them. just remember to take out all the bulbs, don't go past 350 degrees, and don't leave them in too long. a few minutes, 2-3 should be plenty. all you are doing is heating up the silicone to make it elastic again so the cover will come off. also, just do one at a time. and i also had my lights on a little cookie sheet so it would stick and all. hope that helps you guys.

if your heating the lights up to loosen the silicone then how do they go back together?Do they stick right back together with the same silicone? And some guy on this site put his in the oven and they came one had a white discoloration on the plastic form the heat.Is their any other way to remove it

ok, once heated and removed, you can disassemble the headlights. also, i did notice a little condinsation that i just wiped off with a towell. when i did reassemble them, i let the housing heat up for a minute, then put on the clear cover, let them heat up and then applied pressure to get them sealed. i had pressure on them for a good few minutes just to make sure.
