What would be the difference in power potential between a hy-35 and hx-35. Im just wondering because i know the hy seems to spool up faster and runs lower boost levels.

Well I finally mocked up a block and head so I could see if the holset will hit the block.
I used a 2g 7bolt bare block with a 1g head and 1g exhaust mani. I had to space the mani out 1" to get the turbine housing to clear the block and it would be very close to the rad fan if not into with it like this. I only have a 1/2 spacer so I dont think Im going to go any further with the stock holset housing. its a shame to have to toss this idea away but oh well I could easily get a 1" spacer made but its just not woth my time to do another mod to make the holset housing to work. I really would have liked to know if the turbine housing would work blocked off though. Ill have to think about it more now. I still cant load pics to show it but i do have them.

so what is the spool of the hx-35 on a stock 7 bolt engine? i got all supporting mods, but it would be going on a daily driver, and i dont want a really laggy turbo. is this the rite turbo or should i go with either a big16g or a tbo4 v-trim?

PSI TSI why not just go 1/2 spacer and then dent the waterpipe? If not what do you have a hx35 or 40? Willing to sell it?

Well it isnt the waterpipe that its hitting. The turbine housing hits the bulge where the bal shaft sits. I started to make another adapter though and it should work the way Im doing it now. I have an H1C. If the holset turbine housing doesnt pan out Ill buy the bullseye so its not foresale.

If you go bullseye tell me which housing you get. I'm having a hard time determining which is the correct one. You're suppose to measure the exhaust blades but where? I just dont want to order something that isn't going to work.

You'll need a micrometer to measure the smallest diameter of the exhaust wheel to determine which housing to use.

What's the status on the HY housing?

Well here's the latest, there's no easy way to modify our current HX housing to bolt on the HY. However, some changes to our machining print and we could make this available on our next run of turbine housings in about 6-8 weeks. The only catch is I need to have an order for at least 15-20 housings to make these changes worth while.

Yes, the price will stay the same as long as we can sell a run of 15-20 units.

Sounds good, im going to try and acquire either an HX or HY, whichever i get is what i order from you guys.

Does anybody know if the stock oil feed from the head will be good enough for the holset?
Ive been wondering that I havent heard anything about it,. It is so close it would be a shame not to use that line. Ill have more pics loaded up soon. I saved my project from the dumpster, Im just waiting on a wastegate and it will be ready to try.

I'm looking forward to getting my hybrid. Can't wait to gettaway from these t3t4 50-60 trim turbo's. By the way I'm hoping these 660's will wrk for now under 22lbs of boost.I am using -8 fuel lines.Would be interesting to know the max boost I can use with the 660's and this turb .Dyno will show.

I've been having trouble selling my H1C for 100$. I guess people are starting to realize how cheap these things are.

On my hx-35 that I got used there is a restrictor on the inlet. It is removeable. On bullseye powers website they show there pics with the restrictor removed. What does everyone else do?

heres bullseyes pic

EDIT

I guess my pics aren't coming up. You can see bullseyes hx-35 on there website and you can see mine here:

I have two Dodge exhaust housings sitting here. They are 12cm, and wastegated, which leads me to believe they are either '94-'95 WH1C or '95+ HX35 housings . The center section uses 4 bolts to bolt to the exhaust housing. A bullseye HX35 housing I have sitting here (and every picture I see of one) has 6 holes.

I see they only bolt up with 4 bolts.

MattGvr4. Mine did! it only had 4 bolts holding it on the 12cm housing but when i fitted the bullseye housing i put 2 bolts in the split line holes of the retainer plates.

You can also use Garrett turbine clamps, we have them in stock for you do-it yourselfers.

David the attach plates work fine off the Holset the split lines have provision for the 2 extra bolts, oop's hope that didn't blow attach plate sales for you!

No, that's fine as long as its held securely in place. Don't worry about blowing the sale, the shipping would likely cost more than the parts.

Ok, that makes sense.

The wastegate flapper on my new Bullseye housing sticks. I can't see what it is hanging up on, but it can't go in my car like this. Every few times you open or close it, it stops halfway, and no amount of pressure will get it to shut, you have to open it back up and jiggle it/try it again.

If you think it has an issue send it back to us and we will fix or replace it and cover the shipping costs as well. Please use the address on our website and contact our shipping department a few days after you ship it out.
