So my starter is saturated with oil. I was thinking about what all could leak to leak that much oil on the starter. Then i remembered about the hole in the back of the block to check to make sure the ballance shaft is in the correct phase or whatever. The bolt was there, but near there was a hole that another 14mm bolt threads into. There are two other holes near the driver side of the block that are used for the carrier bearing for the automattic dsm axle. On the passenger side, directly beneathe the starter, there are two bolt holes with no bolts vertical fromeachother. What are these holes for and do they go all the way through the block to where oil could leak through? Just rebuilt this motor a couple months ago. 7 bolt. I lose quite a bit of oil and blow light blue/grey smoke out the exhaust.
