Exciting day for me car finally can off the jack stands and moved. Let it sit and noticed a leak. Can anyone tell me what this hole is and how to make it stop leaking? It looks to perfect to not be there for a reason. Thanks.

If you over tightened the valve cover it may have cracked causing to fill the valley and leak out of that hole .

So I have a spare from my parts car however I noticed that this part is loose. Does that mean this one is scrap because I noticed there is a gasket underneath and it no longer seals. Also this one has been sitting in my garage for some time and has wood chips and sand all in it. If I am to reuse it what's the best way to clean it just in my sink with soap and water?

Take it to the car wash and wash, wash, wash then blow dry with high pressure compressed air. If you still have ANY debris at all when you are blow drying then, "rinse and repeat". LOL
