the mechanic at the local dealership is telling me i need an HKS VPC because i keep blowing metal head gaskets. I see that this product is discontinued. I have an AEM EMS, which I was thinking might be able to do what the VPC does. Any ideas??
Also, I have a cracked exhaust manifold, and he said that i should get a stock 2g. Does that sound right?
Any help appreciated

it has been a while since i looked at a vpc, but it will not keep you from blowing head gaskets. if you are using metal hg you should have the block/head mating surfaces machined. the ems will take care of any tuning issues that might cause a blown hg provided you know how to use it. a 95 is a 2g, so you already have a 2g mani. probably cracked due to age and use.

Sorry, i guess i should have been more specific, it is a built 6 bolt 1g engine. The surfaces were machined, so i guess hopefully the ems tuning will work. I just didn't know exactly what a vpc did. Is the 2g mani. that much stronger than the 1g? The car dynoed at 310 horse and 340 torque, will the 2g mani be strong enough?
