Hks Vpc

Hey guys. When I bought my GSX the guy had, well it still has, a HKS VPC installed. When I first got it I wasn't fimilar with the VPC. I looked under the hood for days and wondered where my MAF was. So researched and realized that it replaces it. I still dont know a whole bunch about it, cept I still dont see any sensors before the TB. When i was researching about it, most people said it was unnessary. I was wondering how difficult it would be to remove the VPC and replace it with a MAF? Im still a little lost with the whole thing. I have no idea how to tune it.

you should try to learn how to tune it. it's better than having a MAS...unless you have emission laws. yea, i haven't heard of a VPC w/out the sensor in the TB elbow. did it also come w/ the GCC? these together can be as powerful as an AFC-II.

VPC is about the best you're going to get for the money while running race gas and going wide open throttle. Ease of tuning and speed density for least amount of airflow restriction make it unbeatable for the $400 they can be purchased for. However the VPC is notorius for bad idle, delay on throttle tip in, and poor part throttle performance.

Yeah I do have emissions accually, but no it doesn't have the GCC. I have the VPC and a SFAC. I haven't been able to find a guide on the VPC yet. As for the ruff idle and throttle tip in. I've experience all that . It does its own thing sometimes I swear. Slow Boy and Dave from bushur both said they'd tune it with it on, so now im thinking about getting the sensors from HKSUSA. I dont see any on there. Is that possiable? Thanks.
