:talon:ok so i was thinking about switching out my apexi n-1 exhaust and was thinking about getting a hks carbon fiber exhaust. ok so i have an eagle talon tsi fwd. i was looking at the hks for the gst and it dosnt come with 3" piping it comes with like 2.3 inch but the one that comes for the gsx dose come with the 3" so do u think i could put the gsx hks on my talon that really is like the gst

The piping would be completely different between the GSX and GST. If your willing to modify the gsx exhaust to work on the GST I guess you could do that. Why do you want to switch exhaust?

You can't make an AWD catback fit a FWD catback. Look at how the piping is routed and you'll understand why.

Three inch piping is three inch piping. You'll have the same power out of either one assuming that neither has any very restricting bends. The only differences you'll see will be the sound and perhaps the baller factor of having an HKS exhuast. Do as someone else said and just get the hks muffler welded on. Simple. That way you don't have to worry about all the piping issues.

the gsx is all wheel drive obviously so it has a whole different looking underside than gst. the bends in the pipe are different.

I just got the HKS carbon Ti muffler. have a shop do the piping will be the same thing and theyll change the inlet for the exhasut so its 3". amzing looking exhaust, sounds clean and is huge, 5 inch opening.

whats the difference from a gst exahust to a gsx exahusts

It's bending and hanger locations... HKS and Apexi' exhaust sound relatively the same. It'd be a waste of money to change from Apexi' to HKS. If you want an awesome sounding one for a DSM check out a Thermal R&D.

Unless your N1 system is completely rotten (common here in PA with the older non-stainless N1 systems) there should be no need to ever swap from one brand to the next, unless your car's mod list is growing and you need to go up in size to match other mods.

The design of the Carbon-Ti muffler is almost identical to an N1, with the exception of weight. If you're simply swapping because of brands or appearance, there are MUCH better ways to spend $700.
