Was looking for an exhaust upgrade and I usually buy whatever is cheaper since "it's all just pipes" but I do not want any sort of drone or rasp.
I was looking at the hks hi-power exhaust and came across this "eBay " exhaust
http://pages.ebay.com/link/?nav=item.view&alt=web&id=361240955890

can anyone advice me if this is complete crap?

This is for a 1g awd by the way

Thank you for all your input. I really appreciate it.
I'm just worried about spending the money on a restrictive exhaust.

I have pretty much ruled out the eBay exhaust after everyone's comments since the car will be stored outside in my driveway 100% of the time.

I didn't realize there were so many exhaust options but I've been hopping around websites comparing prices and such.

Can someone tell me what this piece is?

It's an o2 housing for a stock placement setup with an internal wastegate

And in all honesty that particular one looks like a bird sh** on the welds. Not the usual STM quality you would see from cory and austin over there. Maybe someone else over there welded it?

I have a hks high power cat back exhaust and I love it. It sounds good, not too loud, not too quiet. It fit perfectly and looks very good as well. I like how the muffler sticks out the back at an angle. Looks awesome. I would highly recommend the hks high power cat back exhaust. :thumb:

Was walking to dinner last night with my lady and on the Main Street an evo drove by with the worst exhaust I've ever heard on a car. I wish I could have stopped them to see what the hell they did

She was not pleased

I once did a comparison against my hks and a no name; the hks uses a thicker pipe and is heavy while the thin wall elcheapo is lighter but rusts through easier.

I would definitely spend the extra money and get the hks! I had it on my 2g and it sounded better then all my friends cheap exhaust system. And even better then the srs or apex exhaust. Like the other guys were saying, pay the price and do it right the first time don't go cheap!!

Installing a good resonator such as the Vibrant Ultra Quiet or Bottle Style resonator before the muffler will help out tremendously in canceling out those obnoxious frequencies that result in rasp and drone.
