Greddy PE VS HKS Carbon-Ti Exhaust

My next mod is going to be an exhaust for my 98 GSX, i am deciding on weather to go w/ the Greddy PE or the HKS Carbon-Ti Exhaust??? anyone got any suggections, i really like the HKS Carbon-Ti Exhaust but i have't seen any dsm owners have one??

wow thats pretty good price HKSUSA says MSRP $820

cat-back= piping behind stock catalitic converter
turbo-back= all piping from o2 housing back (downpipe, hi flow cat/race pipe, and catback)

The HKS system is nice. It is NOT worth 800 dollars, however.

Besides, its not fully 3 inch. You'll have to cut and weld a new pipe/flange to match it up to 3 inch systems.

If the money is not an object, the sound that thing puts out is pure aggression. I like it

$600 is way too expensive for a catback... I just bought a Apexi N1 turboback for $400 besides the point that it was used, I think its a steal.

your generally not going to feel any major increase in performance from just a catback. If you really want to feel some major power increases your gonna need a down pipe and high flow cat or straight pipe. http://machv.com/exhaust.html is where you can find very good prices on some exhausts. I will be going with the buschur system when i get a car again, but of course what you want is your choice

As far as horsepower gain it was a ok increase but i also installed a downpipe and high flow cat at the same time. Like it was said above you wont notice allot with just the catback system. As far as the sound clip no can do. Sorry.

yeah thats what i plan to do... will this work?? i am gonna get the HKS Carbon TI 3", and 3inch downpipe probaly in in couple months, gotta save up, but in the next couple of weeks I am buyen a high flow cat on ebay, now when i put on the high flow cat(2.5), and when i put my 3inch exhaust/downpipe will that high flow cat still work, or do i need a 3inch high flow cat? or shoudl i get a 3inch high flow cat w/ my stock 2 1/4 for now and would that work???

Both Prodigy and myself have the HKS Carbon-Titanium exhaust and I am very happy with it. It has a distinct exhaust note to it - soft rumble at idle and pi$$ed-off grunt when hammered. The piping is stainless steel and the welds are top notch.

I highly recommend this 3" exhaust to anybody contemplating of purchasing it. Just buy it and enjoy one of the best looking exhaust there is.

IMO, no matter exhaust you got on there, its still gonna sounds like the other dsm with pos magnaflow. cuz all turbo DSMs sound the same to me
