High revs

Hi, I just did a rebuild on my engine. Cranked it up for the first time and it only started with the help of the gas pedal. It did work pretty normal, revs were pretty good but the alternator belt starter making noises so when I tightened the belt and started the engine again revs were holding on about 2.5K. The engine works fine, no noises or something just the revs and that it only can start when I press the gas pedal. And one strange thing that when I try to drive the second I start to move the battery light in the dashboard lights up. Maybe someone has some ideas?

Check all your battery connections and make sure they are tight. Is sounds like you need to adjust the throttle plate or you have a bad iac or tps. I would check these sensors and ensure they are plugged in and within specs!

I fixed the revs, there was 1 tube that wasn't tight enought and blowed air. Now the rpm's are at about 1.1 . But there's and old problem that I had before rebuilding the engine that when the engine is cold it doesn't respond tho the trothle if I push it fast it just woobles at low rpms or dies. I get engine cooland temperature circuit high input fault code, but this sensor was changed recently could it already be bad? When the engine is in working temperature it works fine.
