Today when get car warms up so i can go to work. Suddenly my car idle at 2k rpm. I checked all wires and hoses, nothing come loose. I thought it will warm up the car. So i just drive off to work. THen idle settled down, but temp start to climbing. It got close to red so I pulled over to a friend's house and borrow his car. I poped the hood, and heard boiling coolant and steam coming out of coolant bottle. Did my thermostat fail or water pump or blow gasket?

I'd check the thermostat. They arent that hard to check. Throw it in boiling water, and go from there.

Now my car idle normally after screwing a screw on top ot the throttle. But engine wont run if i let go of throttle, and radiator steaming and Temp still rising.
