Hey everyone!

Just finally got my 95 GSX running again after having to tear down 2 transmissions to make one decent one. Well after we got it all back together the battery was dead so we charged it up really quick and it had some issues starting after sitting for roughly 3 months. After we did get it started it was idling a little over 2k and was backfiring a lot but i figured that was due to some build up and it sitting forever. Drove the car home and let it sit over night and went to start it the next day and all it would do is try to turn over for the first 10 tries then I finally got it to start and the idle shot up to 2k then it would sputter and die. I popped the hood to make sure all my couplers were good and checked all the sensors and fuses. Any ideas?

Turns out it was my engine coolant temp sensor! When I was putting the starter back in I must have snagged the wires or something since they were no longer attached to the plug. Sad part is that no one seems to sell the plug so I'm gonna have to get creative! Thanks for the input!
