About a week ago I noticed my clutch engagement has moved from being maybe an inch off the floor, to the very top of the pedal movement on my Spyder GS. I replaced my master cylinder about 6 months ago and it has been great and haven’t had a problem till now.

I don’t believe this happened gradually over time, or at most could have started over a couple days. I am quite gentle on the clutch and this car is my daily driver.

Is there any possibilities other than my clutch simply being worn out? I’d like to think that my clutch is fine but I can’t be certain.

There is no slippage or anything, but the car does seem sluggish, but that could very well just be me as I hate the way it feels with the engagement being so high, it throws me off time to time and I end up jolting the car.

Well, it could be pedal pump up from a bad master cylinder, or something failing with the pressure plate or TOB separating. But if you are still getting full disengagement, and it is just really high, I would top off the master cylinder reservoir, then bleed the system several times, and adjust the adjustment rod into the pedal assembly 3-4 revolutions to start. Check where the disengagement range is at, and make adjustment if needed. If the problem is still occurring, then I would start with removing / disassembling and inspecting the clutch master cylinder and either rebuild it or replace it. Check the condition of the inner and outer piston seals; it could be damaged causing it to draw in air and cause pedal pump up / ghost pedal.

I think first thing I'd do is to check leaks and the pedal rod adjustment, press the slave cylinder in with your hand. You need to adjust pedal rod till you can't push the slave in and then back off till you can push the slave in by hand. This gives you max pedal trush.

If after this there is problems it could be the clutch itself or in worst scenario crank is moving but this would cause pedal sticking to floor.

Having correctly adjusted pedal should engage fairly quickly.

Just my 2c.

There is most likely zero issues with your clutch or cylinders as you have replaced those. Having max trush length while you can still push the slave in by hand is a good thing.
