Help with ticking noise

I have recently purchased a 90 GSX. The car, has a random ticking noise come on every once and a while. sometimes every other day, or it will stop for a week and come back on. The guy i bought it from said it has been doing it a long time, it doesn't affect the performance at all. The noise seems to be coming from timing chain cover or top of timing belt area. The ticking does go away when the car is boosting though. It seems that the ticking is usually after i start up the car.

i had the same thing, go to pepboys and get some shit to spray on the belts, i sprayed the shit out of mine and it went away, i also sprayed it with wd40. its worth a shot!!!
