help with my datalogger

i just got a palm m100 and i have mmcd on my computer and i have a serial to usb cord to try and get mmcd on it so i can start datalogging

but i need help my computer wont read the cord or the palm i dont know why

and then once i get it on there how do i use it

are you running windows vista? xp? mac?...### i had a similar prob with vista...got it to work thought...let me know what you have and see if i could walk you through the process

Ihave windows XP i have the plug that plugs in the back of the desktop
am not that smart with computers so your help would be apreeciated

ps. i dont know what OS means
 
os means operating system and i have xp

but i have a transition cable that connects it to my laptop
 
Just did it with my Palm IIIc last week worked like a charm. Get it hooked up so you can see some logs.
 
its not working i have all of the stuff downloaded but it just isnt working troubleshoot???
 
ha i got it to work you have to download mmcd

then you have to get the palm desktop thing

then you have to hotsync your palm

then you have to click on the mmcd file and then open it and it will add it to the hotsync list then you are good to go

well hotsync once more after that hope this helps and thanks to all that have helped me i am going to go start logging now
