Hello everyone. I am trying to get my car to idle decently (2.0L, 9.0:1 pistons, eagles, FIC850 Injectors) I want to insert my most recent log file, but I don't know if I can here.
What I'm dealing with is very lean rough idle. I've turned off idle, and lambda feedback, and ign trims, and am trying to adjust my VE and idle base position to hit my targets. Timing is more or less locked at 10 BTDC. The issues I'm having is that I need to have my VE way up around 85% to approach my Lambda target, while adjusting the base position all the way to 0 only to still be more than 500 rpm above target. If I increase the base position above 15 then it surges beyond the idle cut over and over. Even though a VE of 85% gets me roughly on target (14.5), my lambda is rapidly fluctuating from 13.2 and 15.8 or so, and the idle is quite rough. The engine smooths out if I tap the throttle, and lambda seems to settle to a more consistent value until it approaches idle again
My first thought is that I have a vacuum leak, but I can't find any exposed ports or anything. I'm pretty sure my intake mani is sealed on the gasket properly. Are there any problem vacuum ports that tend to get missed? I've already checked all on top and by the throttlebody, and did my best to check underneath.
Any other ideas of what it could be?
This car did idle smoothly on the same ECU and injectors before I pulled the motor. Also I DO have fresh gas in it.
