ok ive got a few questions ive got a 1991 gsx i just got off my buddy because he was moving it wasnt running and i got it running...but im not familar with dsmlink or the maft and when i start the car it idles up to about 2k and slowly will idle up until about 3.2k rpms and it will start to blow out white smoke which i think is just meaning its running too rich right? and then also the other day out of nowhere i had an oil puddle right under the downpipe by the turbo and sum oil in my exhaust at the last bend by the muffler and havent had the problem other then that one day no leaks unless the white smoke is from the oil? any help is greatly appreciated thnx guys
also the maft is set on all the base settings for my car and i was trying to run it off of dsmlink

not it sounds fine i can hear it spool up if i rev it a little tho but its not making any boost when idleing at 2-3k

I just bought a 14b and mine had turbo whine from the start, then it got much louder and it only smokes when I do a pull and let off. When it idles it idles high like yours but not quite as high. It wont boost the full 14psi that the mbc is set at anymore (with no changes). At idle it makes a little pulsing squeaking sound, but my uncle can't hear it so if your older than 21 good luck listening for that. I think my turbo was bad from the start but its getting worse. Since my symptoms are like yours, your turbo is probably bad and mine is just getting there.

White smoke is typically coolant, oil burns blue. Next time it smokes see if you can smell it, coolant will have a sickly sweet smell, oil will smell, well, like burning oil. If the smoke really is white then thats commonly due to a bad headgasket letting coolant into a cylinder and steam-cleaning it in effect. If that's the case do a compression test to see what your compression is. If the smoke is in fact blue, and therefore oil, and your turbo seals are leaking and there's oil in the exhaust then that is most likely your turbo seals going. You can either rebuild it or use it as an excuse to go bigger (supporting mods permitting).
