So i installed a head from a 94 turbo on my 95 GSX
I installed a new head, intake manifold, TB, Piping and all new gaskets
I also bought a black lid CAS to replace my two plug setup.

I have everything in and the car starts!!! YAAAAAAHHH thats the good news

Bad news.

There is a lot of white smoke when i rev the engine.

I dont think that the head gasket is leaking since it is brand new, but i wonder if the smoke has anything to do with the CAS not being adjusted properly. I set base timing but have not yet used the timing light to get the the right degree. Could this cause smoking?

Any thoughts would be helpful

thanks

ok update
i also noticed that the pcv valve is loose from the valve cover
it looks like the valve cover cracked slightly at the spot where the valve screws in so i wonder if this could be the culprit....

is it possible that it is just burning off junk that is still in the cylinders from when everything went south??
