Help!! transmission is dead/needs rebuild....

my 91 talon tsi's tranny is shot. as of now i am taking it to aamco to get it fixed. am i making a mistake? i really dont know where else to take it and i need my car fixed by next friday. if aamco is not a good place can someone name me some places in the pennsylvania/new jersey area?

Well I looked in your profile and it gave no info on your car..Sooooo all I can say is all they will do is overcharge you for stocks parts. Depending on whats wrong with it. You might be better off with after market parts. Syncro's, Shift fork etc. Might what to check with a local tranny guy and see if you can get a better deal, and maybe he will put the stronger parts in for you.
