1G Dead rebuild

Hello all.

I have a dead 92 talon, its been sitting for some time (7+ years). Looking to build it to a stock daily driver, need new keys, all new lock cylinders + ignition switch. This is where I will start, than the engine rebuild will start. Any advice on how to remove the ignition switch, and where I might be able to purchase them.

Search classifieds on here for part out, Where I found mine. For the cylinder you need the key to turn it to the on position. Then there's a small button on the bottom you press in and it will pop out. If you don't have the key you'll have to break it to get it to turn. Or call a locksmith. Why can't you just get a key made?

www.millerimportparts.com has 100s of dsm's at his yard, i'm sure he can get you everything you need + keys to go with it.

I lost the key. Took out the cylinder on the passenger side and there apparently was no code on it. Five or six different locksmiths refused to try to build a key for it. Don't ask me to "look for someone who knows what they are doing" . Apparently none of those guys live around here.

Any advice on how to get to the ignition, have never taken one out on a dsm before.

We have a online service manual on here some where ...otherwise I got mine shipped to my house for pretty cheap from DIY manuals.
