Is my transmission dead?

Last week on my way to work (while getting off the HWY) I heard a pop, it wasn't super loud, but easily noticeable. What followed was a loss of power and I had to coast to the sholder.

Upon stopping I tried to restart the car, but there was no compression...the engine just turened and turned. After looking all over the engine bay I pulled the timing belt cover and to my horror the belt was off the sprockets and very loose! As a side note i replaced the belt Feb of last year and haven't put more then 15k on it. Needless to say I had the car towed home.

So today I went about pulling the t-belt cover off to see how much damage was done. As expected the belt had brocken at the bottom (*I'm still crossing my fingers that no valves are bent, but all seems ok so far). BUT, what happened next really got me worried, with the car in gear I am able to turn the crank (a lot, like almost a full turn...I didn't try any further). I also tried jacking up the front wheels and turning them, with the rear on the floor (it's AWD) the fronts just turn in opposite direction, is this normal?

I know my clutch is on it's last legs, so could my issue simply be that my clutch is dead or am I looking at a new transmission or t-case? Any help would be greatly apreciated. If this is going to cost me too much I'm going to have to get rid of it... :sosad:

Your car made a pop because of the Timing Belt. As far as your crank turning that is normal. You can turn a crank on a car I would be worried if your crank wouldn't turn. Your valves may not be bent but your pistons are probably scored. You may now be a proud owner of an interference engine. I need to change my Belt before that happens to me.
