Ok, I have been struggling to get this GSX running again for the past few months. I have dumped countless dollars, hours, and parts into it. It seemed to be almost at the verge of running right. The car was barely driven at all. I had driven it last night for a short trip to put gas in it. Today I replaced the alternator and the battery. I go to start it up and all I can hear is loud clacking from under the hood. I pop the hood and the clacking continues. Until within seconds there is a louder grind and the motor dies. Is there ANY way an alternator install can do this? Over tensioning the alternator belt?

Shouldnt have used, used parts on your head swap ass hat :toobad: .... Take the belt off and spin the alternator by hand to see if its making the noise or not
