I recently bought a 1998 2g 420a from someone and they were in the middle of turbo swapping it. I have 1995 420a with a locked up enine I can use as parts. I was wondering if it would be better to finish the turbo build or just convert it back to stock. The guy said it has a built bottom end, megasquirt, upgraded fuel pump and injectors. The turbo is bolted on and intercooler is on came with some piping and the downpipe but can't find the correct v bands for the downpipe. I know it's missing the bov and piping for the bov. What are yalls thoughts?

Sounds like a serious project. What mega squirt setup is it? Some of them will fetch some good money. You might be able to part the car out and buy a decent gst/gsx. Otherwise anything is possible with some money and alot of time or alot of money and some time.

I'd start by making sure the car has what the precious owner claimed it had. I wouldn't continue installing a turbo setup without looking. Wouldn't want to dump all that boost in, just to grenade the engine because it only had oem parts. If it has everything claimed, then might as well finish the build.
