Help Please!!!!! HELP

My car is eating my gas!!!! I think worst than a freaking hummer, in 4 days i spent like 40sumitn bucks on gas (NYC)

Okay so ive gotten the car lifted and theres no obvious leak and when i park the car over night it doesnt leak, and i cant figure out whats causing me to loose gas...and also im loosing my power steering fluid, and i have no clue if its the line or sumtin else

Does it smell like gas when you drive. Could be injector seals, any color exhaust?

No exhaust color.... and i dnt think ive ever changed the air filter

Edit: I saw your edit...changing out your air filter (if youve never changed it) will help, but I doubt it will completely solve your problem.

could be your O2 sensor any check engine lights. you could do a Fuel pressure test and see if it drops signaling there is a leak.

Yeah but my check engine light turned on but it was after i was already smelling gas as i drove so idk what that is but when it turned on it got worst so im guessing its related

yeh if your front O2 sensor is not reading it would result in bad gas millage a CEL and it would place your car in open loop mood making it run weird. and it would make your car super rich but not to smell like gas inside.

Is there any way to check if your O2 sensors are bad?

I would like to lean torwards your 02 sensors.....If you have a p0170 code its important to have a logger to see which 02 sensor isn't responding right. With it running rich, your cat converter could be bad also.....

Thats A step in the right direction! I would perform a back pressure test on the cat converter, you can do so by pulling the o2 censor out BEFORE the cat and hooking up a back pressure gauge. The lower the pressure the better (higher flow) so then I would possibley move to the mass air flow...

Well today i went to my friends mechanic and we checked what the check engine light was and it was the Evap Canister but couldn't find any leaks and ended up changing the spark plugs and valve cover gasket and going to change the air filter tomorrow

No it still runs the same just wasting gas unfortunately
