I have an oil leak that I cannot find. THe motor has like 3k on it. BUt I am losing oil I can see it running over the top of the water pump.WTF It was fine untill about 150 miles ago. I first thought v/c gasket, no help. Then cam seals, they are fine. What makes it so hard is I cant see a leak when sitting and idleing. After driving mostly on the interstate or somthing I can get out and see oil on the top of the waterpump. Do any of the waterpump bolts go into an oil galley? I am hoping and praying its not the head gasket, if it was that I would think it woud do it at idle, and I have no fluids mixing. Also I have huge amounts of oil pressure 80-100 psi cruising on the interstate. The needle on the gauge is almost touching the H line. (also verified with a real gauge) I hope some one has a brilliant idea that keeps me from pulling the head. Thanks for any ideas.
( I really love it but it makes me mad, kind of like a woman
) The oil looks to be coming from the front top water pump bolt, is this possable? The w/p bolt behind it is dry, but the front has oil on it. I am confused and frustrated. Does anyone know what bolts if any go into oil jackets? Please help im dying here I dont want to pull the head on a 3k mile motor, that would suck. But then again that is the world we call DSM
