Help!!! Opinion Needed

A 90 or 91 laser rs turbo is for sale for $2000. The odometer says 180,000. The engine is rebuilt and has a 3" downpipe and new exhaust...what should i do or need to know?

- Check fluids (Tranny, engine, etc.) if the fluids are low thats a good sign the user didn't take good care of the car.
- Take it for a drive, any odd sounds? thumping? grinding?
- Does the tranny engage well? No grinds? Don't have to SLAM it into gear?
- If possible, remove the intake hose on the turbo, feel the turbo with the car off of course..does it have any shaft play? i.e. does it move when you push on it?
- Hosing to intercooler, turbo, and intake in decent condition? no rips, tears etc?
- Trend on tires good? No uneven wear?
- Lights, A/C, Heater, Wipers, electrical components work?
- Clutch engagement is smooth, doesn't stick to the floor? Isn't half way from the floor it releases all the way? Clutch doesn'
t slip?

If everything is ok after you followed the list above you most likely have a winner
